Customer Stories

What Our Customers Say About Us

Real stories from real families across the North of England — people who chose EverRise to help them stay independent at home.

I was nervous about having a stairlift fitted — I thought it would take days and make a mess. The engineer arrived at 9am and had everything done by lunchtime. He was so patient and kind, and showed me everything before he left. I can't believe I waited so long.
Margaret T.Leeds, West Yorkshire
David H. from Manchester
After my dad had a fall, we knew we needed to act fast. EverRise came out the very next day, assessed the staircase, and fitted a curved lift within the week. The difference it's made to his confidence is remarkable. He's back to going upstairs whenever he wants.
David H.Manchester
The annual service gives me complete peace of mind. The engineer is always on time, thorough, and explains everything clearly. It's reassuring to know the lift is checked properly every year. Wouldn't be without it.

Common Questions

Buying a Stairlift4 questions

Choosing the Right Stairlift

  • We supply straight stairlifts, curved stairlifts, and perch/standing lifts to suit a wide range of staircases and mobility needs. Straight lifts are the most common and can usually be fitted the same day. Curved lifts are made to measure for your specific staircase and typically take a few days to manufacture. We'll assess your home during a free survey and recommend the most suitable option.

  • The best way is to book a free home survey. One of our advisors will visit your home, assess your staircase, and discuss your mobility needs — with no pressure and no obligation. We'll explain all the options clearly and give you a written quote before you make any decision.

  • Yes. We offer a range of fully refurbished stairlifts that have been inspected, serviced, and tested to the same standard as new models. They're a great option if you're looking to reduce costs without compromising on safety or reliability.

  • During your free home survey, our advisor will bring demonstration materials and can arrange for you to see a working model. We want you to feel completely confident in your choice before committing to anything.

Installation3 questions

What to Expect on Installation Day

  • Most straight stairlift installations are completed within 2–3 hours. Curved stairlifts take a little longer — typically 3–4 hours — because the rail is custom-made to your staircase. Our engineer will give you a time estimate when they arrive.

  • No. The rail is fixed to the stair treads, not the wall, so there's no damage to your walls or bannisters. The fixings are small and discreet, and the staircase can be fully restored to its original condition if the lift is ever removed.

  • Just make sure the staircase is clear and accessible. Our engineer will bring everything needed for the installation. If you have any specific concerns about access or parking, let us know when you book and we'll accommodate you.

Servicing & Repairs4 questions

Keeping Your Stairlift in Top Condition

  • We recommend an annual service for all stairlifts, regardless of age or brand. Regular servicing keeps the lift running safely and efficiently, and can identify minor issues before they become costly repairs. Our service plans offer priority booking and competitive rates.

  • First, check that the lift is switched on at the mains and that the key is in the on position. Also check that the seat, footrest, and armrests are fully folded — most lifts have safety sensors that prevent operation if any part is not in the correct position. If the problem persists, contact us and we'll arrange a same-day callout.

  • Yes. Our engineers are trained to work on all major makes and models, including Acorn, Stannah, Brooks, and Handicare. We carry a wide range of spare parts and aim to fix most faults on the first visit.

  • All new stairlifts we supply come with a minimum 12-month parts and labour warranty. Many models carry a 2-year warranty as standard. Extended warranty and service plan options are available — ask your advisor for details.

Costs & Finance3 questions

Pricing, Finance & Funding

  • Prices vary depending on the type of stairlift and the complexity of your staircase. Straight stairlifts typically start from around £1,500. Curved stairlifts are priced individually as they're made to measure. We'll give you a full written quote during your free home survey — there are no hidden charges.

  • Yes. We offer flexible payment plans to help spread the cost of your stairlift. Options include interest-free credit and low-rate finance over 12–60 months. Ask your advisor for details during your free survey.

  • In some cases, you may be eligible for a Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) from your local council, which can contribute towards the cost of a stairlift. Eligibility depends on your circumstances. We can advise you on this during your free survey and help you navigate the application process.
